Emphasis & Desire

"Worshipping in Spirit and Truth"

Our Emphasis

We are a church that is founded solely on the Word of God, the Holy Bible. Our emphasis is to honor and glorify God first and foremost in all things. The Bible says that we ought to “worship Him in spirit and in truth.” We want to make sure that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ are honored through all we say and do.  From the preaching and teaching, to the music and prayer, all should point to and emphasize the Lord.
We hold to the Bible as our final authority for all matters concerning faith, doctrine, and practice. We do not hold to creeds or confessions, or the writings of the church fathers or any human author. The Bible is our final authority. It is completely relevant and powerful in our lives today; therefore, we hold it in the highest esteem in our church.

Our Desire for You

As it is for all people, our desire for you is what God desires for you—that you would come to the Lord Jesus Christ, believing in Him by repentance (a godly sorrow for sin) and faith in the Gospel. The Gospel means “the good news.” The good news is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a perfect sinless life and was crucified on a cross, shed his blood, and died to pay for our sin. It is also that three days later He arose from the grave thereby conquering sin and the grave for us. In believing the Gospel, you will receive forgiveness of that sin debt and everlasting life. There is no greater truth for any of us than that. In addition to salvation, it is the Lord’s desire that you would be baptized after salvation and grow to Christian maturity. We want to help you grow closer to Jesus and live a fulfilling Christian life. In order to help with that, we have a discipleship program that incorporates a one-on-one personal Bible study, through which we can help you understand all the basics of the Word of God that will help you live a victorious Christian life.
Finally, we want you to find a loving, godly environment that will encourage you, challenge you, and help you to be all that God wants you to be. There is no one that is perfect here; but it is our desire to draw close to the One who is perfect – the Lord Jesus Christ. As we all draw closer to Him, we all draw closer to one another. We hope that you will come and see for yourself how that our church is seeking to be “making a difference” here in our community.
