Help for the Home

Help for the Home

Every home needs help. Whether it be a single mother with three children; a retired grandfather who lives alone – or even a two-parent middle class family – all need help. The source of that help is the Bible – God’s Word. How foolish we are, in whatever aspect of life or society, to think that we do not need the Bible or the principles it teaches. Yet, there are great and foundational truths that it gives to everyone if we only receive them. There is help for you and for your family. There is hope for the lonely and even the shut-in. The Lord, through His church, has provided everything we need to live successfully for Him in this life.

Whether it is problems with finances, fights, friends, or even folly – there is help. Whether it is the result of backsliding, bitterness, backbiting, or bickering, there is hope for the home. Do not let pride or even shame keep you from admitting your need to learn more. Every marriage needs to grow; every family needs to deepen its walk with God; every home need the influence of God and His Word that we can continue to fulfill his purpose for our lives.

Do not count yourself out if you are in something other than the “model” home. Simply give it to God – whatever the size, makeup or status of your home – allow Him to have control and He can make something precious out of it.

Matthew 7:24-27 24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.26  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:27  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
